Homemade miniature pecan pies.

Calling Melissa from the bookstore today knowing that she would know the title of the third book in the Earthsea series and having her say without missing a beat, "Let me look at my shelf," thus solving the Christmas shopping problem of an elderly woman at the customer service counter.

Finally, even though it was no match for last year's Christmukah episode, a decent hour of The O.C.

Every single actor on Veronica Mars.

When my date out-Brigittaed me by noticing Gareth as the usher in Finding Neverland even before I did.

Athena's birthday today. Elizabeth's birthday tomorrow.

Sister and friends practically on their way home.

Annegrrl's long-awaited update.

Plans for Vietnamese food and holiday cheer.

The way Coalhouse delivers the vocal highlight of Ragtime, "Sarah, come down to me."

While drinking wine from a glass the size of a bowling ball in a fancy restaurant filled with tiny white lights with garlic seeping from my pores, hearing my brother's girlfriend go on a tipsy tirade about how men need to focus less on looks and more on brains. Hoping my brother doesn't let this one go.

All of Hugo's lines on the Bye Bye Birdie soundtrack, but perhaps none more than "This town is awfully square for a cat like me."
