Off I Go

4:05 pm

The flight from New Orleans to DFW has been uneventful. My achin' back! Already! Jesus.

My mom and I had a nice ride to the airport. I told her about my anxiety-related epiphany, and she said, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free!" Which was touching and hilarious somehow at the same time.

I think I'm going to have to haul ass to make the flight to Paris at which point hopefully I will settle in on the 9.5-hour flight thanks to sweet blessed Xanax.

Somehow the plane has gone from arctic to saharan in a few short minutes. Oh, well!

I had some pecan pralines and cream Bluebell in the New Orleans airport.

How do tall or large people survive these airplane seats? I will never know!!! I feel like I'm coiled up in some sort of tortuous walnut shell or something.

My gate is A-26. We're landing at C-15. I'm gonna have to come on ride the train train, hey ride it (woo woo).

A little later

Well, I basically sprinted through the airport to a gate about a mile away and am now settling in and eyeing the myriad rows of empty seats covetously.
